ie:music proudly welcome Neck Deep, As It Is & Frost Koffin to their management roster

  • Each represented by Leander Gloversmith who joins the renowned management company

London, 13th February 2019:- Global artist management company, ie:music, famed for their varied range of artists including Robbie Williams, Passenger, Cher Lloyd and Ladyhawke are diversifying their roster further with the recruitment of Leander Gloversmith. A specialist in rock and metal, ie:music are making a move into rich genre territory with Leander, underscoring their shared belief in the wealth of talent in the scene.Gloversmith will be focusing on the globally recognised UK pop-punk act Neck Deep, who this weekend made a much anticipated return to Wembley Arena and whose lauded 2017 album “The Peace and the Panic” scored top five chart positions on both of sides of the Atlantic.Gloversmith’s initial roster also includes Brighton post-hardcore group As It Is, winners of Rock Sound’s 2018 ‘Power of Music’ award for their considerable efforts to raise mental health awareness through music, and freshly signed Texan metal band Frost Koffin, who have already drawn comparisons to a young Metallica. Based in their London office, Gloversmith will also operate from ie:music’s LA headquarters, ie:west, as bands embark on upcoming tours in the US.With 12 years of artist management experience, Gloversmith will bring his unique insight to the renowned management company, which boasts offices in Sydney, as well as Los Angeles and London. He was essential in the signing and development of metalcore juggernauts Architects. During that time he also managed BBC Radio 1 favourites Lower than Atlantis for their first two well-received albums as well as celebrated punk band Creeper. On joining the ie:music team, Gloversmith said, “It is a privilege to be part of a company with such an effusive legacy, who continue to evolve and remain a source of ideas and creativity. A lot is said about the diminished state of this scene, yet ie:music are doubling down on rock and metal as we believe it to be in rude health, birthing some of the most exciting and creative artists around, many of whom are quietly ascending to arena headline status without a drop of mainstream support. Paired with its passionate, multi-generational audiences, this is truly a world of lifers, on and off-stage.”Commenting on the hire, Michael Loney, co-MD of ie:music and president of ie:west in Los Angeles, said, “We are delighted to welcome Leander and his roster to the ie:music family. He has proved time and again that he has an eye for what’s next. His roster will be able to avail of our world class artist services team who will apply experience developed across ie:music’s other artists to maximise their potential. It is particularly exciting to have two outstanding artists that already have a firm US fan base - Neck Deep and As It Is - and we are also thrilled to welcome Frost Koffin.About ie:music“The Artist and the Fan: the two most important parts of the music industry; everybody else and their egos are just the gloop in the middle”. That is the mantra that has guided ie:music since it was established in 1992 by two industry veterans, David Enthoven and Tim Clark. In their words, “We are part of the gloop but every single day we have to justify what we do for our artists and we answer to them”.As the digital revolution flourishes, ie:music are propelling themselves to the forefront of the emerging technology, exploring and capitalising on opportunities for their artists. The company embraces digital technology as an extraordinary facilitator of artist-fan communications, as a means of encouraging transparency and of making everything from ticketing to downloading and streaming more effective, efficient and honest.Headquartered in London and with offices in Los Angeles & Sydney, ie:music manage Robbie Williams, Passenger, Craig Armstrong and Cher Lloyd amongst others.ie:music is engaged with the Featured Artist Coalition, the Association of Artist Managers and the Music Managers Forum in making a fairer, more transparent environment.
