Kobalt inks global publishing deal with Goat

 -          Covers back catalogue and future recordings-          New album with Sub Pop in the works for Autumn 2014 12th June (LONDON and STOCKHOLM) - Kobalt Music Group (Kobalt) has concluded a new worldwide publishing deal with Swedish musical collective Goat.Through the deal Kobalt exclusively represents the band’s future recordings, as well as their back catalogue, including hit songs "Run To Your Mama," "Let It Bleed" and "Dreambuilding.” The deal also covers sync rights.Goat’s rising profile has also seen them recently sign with Sub Pop for the U.S., as well as perform at this year’s Coachella festival. Other planned festival appearances include Bonnaroo in Tennessee, Latitude in the U.K., and Stockholm Music & Arts in their native Sweden.Boasting a back story that includes voodoo practices and a curse that can still be felt through the band’s records, Goat are unconventional, but universally loved thanks to a fusion style that equals ‘world’ music in the truest sense. The band are currently working on a sequel to their 2012 debut album World Music, which was loudly praised by SpinPitchfork, and The Guardian, among others, planned for release later this year.Goat said of the deal with Kobalt: "Music is spirituality, spirituality is togetherness, togetherness is love, love is music."Johan Ekelund at Kobalt added: "Goat are the most original and adventurous band to ever emerge from the cold outskirts of Korpilombolo. We are dazzled that they have trusted us to be their partner in music publishing."
