22nd  March 2012 California: - Pete Tong and the IMS partners are to bring 40 leaders from the global electronic music business together with 40 leaders from technology and brands in a high level, invite-only symposium. The full hospitality event, comprising networking drinks followed by a dinner and party, will take in place Palm Springs on Thursday April 12th – a day before America’s famous Coachella festival commences next door. The symposium builds on this year’s IMS theme - Connections Count – and is aimed at enabling today’s electronic music leaders to meet and share ideas with those who can help drive their future businesses. Representatives from YouTube, Twitter, Smirnoff, Burberry, Electronic Arts, William Morris, CAA will all be participating. Music offerings will be provided by Pete tong (IMS / BBC Radio 1), Jason Bentley (KCRW), Rob da Bank (BBC Radio 1 / Bestival) Said IMS Partner Ben Turner: "The symposium is inspired by what's happening in Electronica in 2012 and the huge interest from organisations to engage with the industry from all corners of the entertainment business.  “It's a forum for intimate exchange, a chance for companies to understand our industry better, all taking place in the great setting of the legendary ACE hotels, and on the eve of Coachella - one of the best festivals in the world which has always pioneered in its electronic music focus."
