[PIAS] Signs US Leader Hopeless Records

  • [PIAS] to handle sales and distribution for Hopeless Records in the UK & Ireland

London, 15th March 2012 – Today [PIAS] announces the signing of Hopeless Records, seeing [PIAS] assume responsibility for the sales and distribution of the California record label in the UK & Ireland.Hopeless Records, located in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California was started in 1993 by Louis Posen, and the label’s artists are in the genre of punk rock, pop punk, post-hardcore, alternative rock and metal. Artists signed to the label include: Yellowcard, The Used, We Are The In Crowd, Silverstein, The Wonder Years, There For Tomorrow, Enter Shikari (North America), Anarbor, The Dangerous Summer, and many more. Throughout the 18 year history of the label, Hopeless has released over 200 albums and launched the careers of such artist as Avenged Sevenfold, All Time Low and Thrice. The label is consistently in the Top 20 record labels in the world by sales and last year celebrated 9 of their 11 releases charting in the Billboard Top 200.Known for its charitable side, the Hopeless Records Sub City arm of the label hosts an annual benefit tour called the Take Action Tour, which produces a compilation album Take Action! To date, the effort has raised more than $2 million for more than 50 non-profit organizations.
